Proceedings of the ancient cemeteries and burials nature are the most important criterion of ethnocultural identity in modern archeology. Based on the analysis of these materials can be stated that the bulk of the population between the rivers Dniester and Prut rivers to X - XIII centuries. were descendants of the tribal alliance of Croats, who in this part of Europe became part of the population of Kievan Rus. In addition to the Croats lived here as immigrants from other lands - with Tivertsy Lower Dniester, Ruses of the Middle Dnieper, etc.
